I used to be a rabid apple fanboy, then Jobs died and it became immediately apparent that no one else in that company had a vision or a desire to do shit differently even though it might cost more (only do "different" if it costs less) the very first product refresh after his death was enough to send me running, and its only gotten worse. :/ it makes me sad, I still think macosX is the perfect hybrid of GUI and posix compliance, but they're even trying to dumb that down now (though the new MacPROs are gorgeous sculpture...)... Modal windows? Fuck that shit.

I don't think the flaw is in QC so much as it is engineering. Sounds like either the alloy they're using isn't up to the task, or the chassis wasn't designed right.
